Labels are not being displayed even though it looks like there's enough space.

Might be caused by https://github.com/piwik/piwik/pull/8078

Fyi: It has always been this way in Piwik, but it would be nice to improve it. The reason we skip half of the labels is that there is not enough space to show all labels.

Enabling all labels doesn't work good for the most cases as they would overlap. We could show the labels not vertical but in a specific angle to avoid that.

It would look like this:

But also that might cause problems: if the first label is quite long, it might get cut off.

I've also tried to get the long labels wrapped into multiple lines, but the jqplot canvas renderer for the labels doesn't support it, and it might be hard to extend that.

Any thoughts/opinions on that?

For some reports can we maybe show icons and on hover the label?

Tried to quickly find some UI patterns for this but couldn't find much. How do other tools fix this problem? I'm personally not really a huge fan of the angled labels.

I don't like those angled labels, aswell. When hovering one of the bars, the label is already shown at the moment. But I think the more relevant problem at this point is that any kind of "show label on hover" won't work when exporting the images or having those rendered in pdf reports. Those labels will still simply be missing...
