I am trying to install Piwik on my local machine, running XP Pro SP2, IIS, PHP 5.2.3, and MySQL 5.0.45.

When I try to run the install by pointing to localhost/director, I get the following error message.

Piwik # open source web analytics

Piwik couldn't write to some directories.

Try to Execute the following commands on your Linux server:

If this doesn't work, you can try to create the directories with your FTP software, and set the CHMOD to 777 (with your FTP software, right click on the directories, permissions).

After applying the modifications, you can refresh the page.

If you need more help, try Piwik.org.

I have enabled full control for everyone, including anonymous internet browsers, on the parent folder as well as the directory which contains the files. Does anyone else know of a workaround?
