Error: The report 'nb_pageviews' was requested but it is not available at this stage. You may also disable the related plugin (nb) to avoid this error.

Had this plugin installed before. After 2.0 upgrade - this error started to show up.

Thanks for the report, where does this error appear? do you also see a backtrace or more information?

Please try to remove the widget and add it again to the dashboard. It should fix it!

If after removing/adding widget you still see error please reopen this ticket and we will investigate.

that did the trick (very strange)

Hi there, I'm seeing this too since migrating from 1.12 to 2.0.2.

This is using the "Visits Overview (with graph)" widget. To trigger the bug, I simply have to add various data lines to the graph. In my case, to complement "Visits" I added:

  • Unique visitors
  • Visits with conversions
  • Pageviews

They show up nicely in the graph... but as soon as you reload the page, the widget's contents will be replaced by the error message, and you'll have to remove and re-add the widget.

I don't know what the "nb" plugin would be referring to, since I'm only using the official/stock plugins that come with Piwik.

This bug happens to me every single time I log into Piwik 2.1.0. My Piwik deployment is used by a large number of users who cannot be asked to remove/add the widget every time they want to use the software.

Perhaps I am missing something, but I do not see a permanent solution in any of the previous posts in this thread. Is there a permanent solution available now?

After making the changes to Archive.php posted here: http://dev.piwik.org/trac/changeset/043879c14e7c311542de813da99b004b90bd71b6

The problem is still not resolved. If I change the graph metrics it still fails. What is the permanent solution? Can someone please post step by step instructions? There are obviously a large number of people suffering from this issue.

Reproducible on the demo account:

  • Use the widget "Visits Overview (with graph)"
  • Add the "Downloads" line-graph to the chart
  • Refresh the widget

-> the Widget now displays the error "Error: The report 'nb_downloads' was requested but it is not available at this stage. (Plugin 'nb' is not activated.)"

Is this perhaps because "nb_downloads" is missing from the Metrics mapping class and therefore not considered a core metric?

This applies for "nb_outlinks" and probably others, as well.

Let's have a look at this when this branch is merged in master: https://github.com/piwik/piwik/tree/report_and_dimension_refactoring

I was able to reproduce this bug using current master branch. Just add this widget and select new metric to plot that is from Actions plugin (visit scope metrics work without any issues). Please note: bug appears after page refresh.
